...weekend work
tore out the back bathroom today. discovered the source of an old leak in the shower plumbing. after this photo, john also took out the sink and H2O heater, and bleached the entire area. he is ready to loay the cement board, reset a new toilet and lay tile in this room and at the back door.

also, here is a photo of the interior log siding...was done a while back, just didnt have a photo to share

...progress
This past week, we passed our electrical and framing inspections...insulated...and drywall installed on the upper east room. we also were able to lay the new subfloor in the lower east room. not an easy task as the floor is out of level...john made it work by shiming the corner. It is really looking nice and we finally can actually see progress. John is still there now working on the subfloor. we may even get the front door this week, that would be nice.

...metal
hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. besides the good food and family, we worked...surprise, right?
however, we did get a great deal done again. John worked outside on the siding and metal siding since we had weather in the 60s on thrusday and friday. Guido and the electrican completed the wiring on the upper floor. Christine confirmed our lighting options and choices already purchased. Christine and i raked, moved rocks and cleaned up the outside.
the hardest part for john right now is that by 430 it is dark...until we get inside, it is the end of the work day.
